01

Our agreement.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Glass Figures and govern your access to the Glass Figures website and application (the “Service”). Before entering the signed-in Service, you must affirmatively accept the current Terms. We record the accepted Terms version and acceptance time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information; it is not a separate agreement you are asked to accept.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use Glass Figures for an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.

02

A visual daily journal.

Glass Figures lets you choose a color for a local calendar day and use that color as one piece in a generated Figure. You may optionally add notes, descriptors, and photographs, revisit those memories, search them, and export a color-only image of your Figure.

The core Service is personal and private by default. Features may change as the product develops. We do not promise that any future sharing, social, notification, or native-app feature will be released.

03

Your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Glass Figures. If the law where you live requires a higher age to consent to an online service, you must meet that age or have valid permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You sign in through a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for providing an email address you are authorized to use and for protecting your email account, active sessions, and sign-in links. Do not share a sign-in link. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

You may not create an account for someone else without permission, impersonate another person, or use the Service if we previously suspended you for misuse.

04

Your days remain yours.

You retain ownership of the colors, notes, descriptors, photographs, and other material you submit to Glass Figures (“Your Content”). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to us.

You give Glass Figures a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt to technical formats, display back to you, and delete Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from our active systems, except for temporary backups, legal retention, and technical remnants that cannot reasonably be isolated immediately.

You represent that you have the rights needed to upload Your Content and that our use of it as described here will not violate another person’s rights or any law. Please be thoughtful about photographs or writing involving other people.

Exports

When you choose to download or share an exported Figure, you are responsible for where it goes and who can see it. A color-only Figure can still reveal something personal through its colors, dates, or provenance.

05

This is not health advice.

Glass Figures is for seeing a life, not diagnosing one.

It is not a medical device, mental-health service, crisis service, or substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Colors and Figures have no clinical meaning assigned by Glass Figures. Do not rely on the Service to make medical, safety, or emergency decisions. If you may be in danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

06

Use it thoughtfully.

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law or violate another person’s rights;
  • upload malicious code or content you do not have permission to use;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, or endanger another person;
  • probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, privacy, or security controls;
  • access another user’s account, journal, photos, or non-public systems;
  • scrape, overload, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Service except where law permits;
  • use automated means to create abusive traffic or accounts; or
  • misrepresent an exported Figure as belonging to someone else.

We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or others.

07

The parts that are ours.

The Service—including its software, Figure-generation systems, visual design, trademarks, wordmark, piece geometry, text, and other materials we provide—is owned by Glass Figures or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may use and share an exported image of your own Figure for personal purposes. You may not copy or commercially exploit the Service itself, its brand, or its generation system without written permission. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but you are not required to provide feedback and it will not transfer ownership of Your Content.

08

A work that may change.

We may add, remove, or modify features; establish reasonable usage or storage limits; perform maintenance; or discontinue some or all of the Service. We will try to give reasonable notice before a change that materially affects access to stored journal information, when circumstances allow.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable or lose functionality because of maintenance, internet conditions, third-party services, security events, or causes outside our control. Keep separate copies of photographs or writing you cannot afford to lose. Glass Figures should not be your only archive of irreplaceable material.

09

Ending your use.

You may stop using Glass Figures at any time. You can delete individual entries and photos through the Service. To request deletion of your account, email privacy@glassfigures.app from the account’s email address.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or use the Service in a way that threatens its security or other users. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination—including content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.

10

No promises we cannot keep.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Glass Figures disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that stored information will never be lost or altered.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11

Limits of responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glass Figures and its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising from or related to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, their total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid Glass Figures during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.

12

Resolving disagreements.

Before filing a formal claim, please contact legal@glassfigures.app and describe the issue. We will try in good faith to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved, either party may bring a claim in a court that has lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right you cannot legally waive.

If one provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

13

When these terms change.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate. Before you can continue in the signed-in Service, we will ask you to affirmatively accept the updated version. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.
