About Glass Figures
We are made
a day at a time.
Some days stay with us.
Others disappear almost as soon as they happen.
Glass Figures is a place to leave something behind — one color, one piece, one small record of the day you lived.
Over time, those pieces gather.
And slowly, almost without noticing, they become a picture only you could have made.
One day. One color. One piece.
A feeling passes.
A day leaves a shape.
Most ways of recording how we feel ask us to name it.
Happy. Sad. Anxious. Calm.
But days are rarely that simple.
Sometimes the closest thing to an answer is just a color.
So that is where Glass Figures begins.
Choose the color the day felt.
Nothing more is required.
That color becomes a piece of your Figure — small on its own, but part of something that keeps growing for as long as you do.
Before words. Beyond scores.
Because a life is meant to be seen, not scored.
Words can ask too much of a moment. Color can be quicker. Softer. Less certain. You can choose a shade without explaining yourself to anyone — including yourself.
Maybe years from now you will remember exactly why you chose it. Maybe you will not. Both are allowed.
Glass Figures does not need to tell you that you were 38% happier this month. It does not need to decide which color meant sadness, or whether your year was improving.
There are already plenty of tools for measuring life. This is for seeing it. Not as a graph. As a picture.
A Figure, becoming
You do not make it all at once.
One day might be ochre.
Another, deep blue.
A quiet week might settle into greens and stone. A month you will never forget might burn brighter.
There is no right palette.
No color means the same thing to everyone.
Your Figure grows from the choices you make, piece by piece, without trying to decide what those choices mean for you.
Day 1 is almost nothing.
Day 30 begins to become something.
A year becomes an object.
Years become a life seen from a distance.
Keep a little more
Some days need more than a color.
A photograph.
A sentence you do not want to forget.
A few words about where you were, who you were with, or why today felt unlike yesterday.
Add them when you want to.
Leave them out when you do not.
A color is enough.
The rest is simply there for the days that ask to be remembered.

The water stayed warm until the light was gone.Point ReyesWhat we keep
A piece can become a doorway.
Years later, you might touch a small blue piece and find a beach you had almost forgotten.
A faded orange might hold the first night in a new home.
A color you no longer remember choosing might contain a photograph that makes the whole day return.
Glass Figures is not only something you build.
It is something you can come back through.
No streaks. No empty promises.
The days you miss belong here too.
There will be days you forget.
Days you are too busy.
Days you do not feel like recording anything.
We do not fill them in for you.
We do not count them against you.
There is no streak to protect.
A life has gaps.
Your Figure can have them too.
Yours first
Some things should remain yours.
Your Figure begins as a private place.
Your notes are yours.
Your photographs are yours.
Your memories are yours.
If Glass Figures grows into something you share with friends or contribute to something larger, that should happen because you chose it — not because privacy was hidden somewhere in the fine print.
The things you keep here should feel kept.
Small days, bigger picture
You may not notice yourself changing.
But the pieces will.
A single day can feel ordinary.
So can the next one.
And the one after that.
It is only when enough of them gather that another kind of story appears.
Not the story you would have written in advance.
The one you actually lived.
One small piece today.
Tomorrow, another.
Then another.
And someday you may look at all of them together and recognize something that was impossible to see while you were inside it.
Your days.
Your memories.
Your Figure.
See what your days become.
